By accessing or using HomePro.bot ("the Platform," "we," "us," or "our"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the Platform. These Terms apply to all visitors, homeowners, service professionals ("Pros"), and any other users of the Platform.
HomePro.bot is a two-sided marketplace that connects homeowners with pre-vetted, licensed home service professionals. We facilitate connections, manage payment escrow through our SafePay system, and provide tools for project management — but we are not a party to any service contract between homeowners and Pros.
You must be at least 18 years of age and a legal resident of the United States to use the Platform. By using HomePro.bot, you represent and warrant that you meet these requirements. Pros must additionally hold all licenses, permits, and insurance required by applicable federal, state, and local law to perform the services they offer.
To access most features of the Platform, you must create an account. You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information during registration and to update such information to keep it accurate. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. You agree to notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account.
HomePro.bot reserves the right to suspend or terminate accounts that provide false information, violate these Terms, or engage in fraudulent or harmful conduct.
HomePro.bot uses a proprietary payment escrow system called SafePay to protect both homeowners and Pros. When a homeowner books a service, payment is held in escrow by HomePro.bot and is not released to the Pro until the homeowner confirms satisfactory completion of the agreed scope of work.
Deposit Payments: For projects above $500, a mobilization deposit (typically 25–33% of the quoted job value) may be collected at booking. This deposit is held in SafePay escrow and released to the Pro upon confirmed job start or materials purchase confirmation, as specified in the project agreement.
Milestone Payments: Larger projects may be structured with multiple payment milestones. Each milestone is funded separately and released only upon homeowner confirmation of that milestone's completion.
Platform Fee: HomePro.bot charges a platform fee on each transaction, deducted from the Pro's payout. The current platform fee rate is displayed in your account settings and may be updated with 30 days' notice.
Cancellation Policy: Homeowners may cancel a booking without fee more than 48 hours before the scheduled job start. Cancellations within 24–48 hours incur a fee of 10% of the quoted job value. Same-day cancellations or no-shows incur a fee of 20% of the quoted job value. These fees are transferred to the Pro as compensation for reserved time.
If a Pro discovers conditions during a job that materially change the scope of work (e.g., hidden structural damage, code compliance requirements), the Pro must submit a Change Order through the Platform before proceeding with additional work. Change Orders must include a description of the new conditions, photo evidence, revised scope, and revised price. Homeowners must digitally approve a Change Order before additional funds are added to SafePay escrow. No additional work may be performed or charged without an approved Change Order.
If a homeowner disputes the completion of work, they must submit a written dispute within 48 hours of the Pro marking the job complete, specifying which items in the agreed scope were not completed. The Pro will have 48 hours to respond with evidence of completion. HomePro.bot platform administrators will review the evidence within 24 hours and issue a decision within 4 business days.
Disputes are evaluated based on documented scope of work, timestamped completion photos, platform messages, and Change Order records — not subjective assessments of work quality. If either party disagrees with the platform's decision, they may elect binding arbitration administered by the American Arbitration Association under its Consumer Arbitration Rules, with costs split equally between the parties.
Class Action Waiver: You agree to resolve disputes with HomePro.bot on an individual basis only and waive any right to participate in a class action lawsuit or class-wide arbitration.
Pros using the Platform represent and warrant that they: (a) hold all licenses and permits required by applicable law for the services they offer; (b) carry general liability insurance and workers' compensation insurance as required by applicable law; (c) will perform all work in a professional, workmanlike manner consistent with industry standards; (d) will not solicit homeowners to pay outside the Platform to circumvent SafePay; and (e) will comply with all applicable federal, state, and local laws, including those governing home improvement contracts.
Homeowners using the Platform agree to: (a) provide accurate descriptions of the work to be performed; (b) ensure safe and reasonable access to the property for the Pro; (c) not attempt to circumvent SafePay by paying Pros directly; (d) release payment promptly upon satisfactory completion of agreed work; and (e) submit any disputes within the 48-hour window following job completion.
You agree not to: (a) use the Platform for any unlawful purpose; (b) post false, misleading, or fraudulent content; (c) impersonate any person or entity; (d) attempt to circumvent SafePay or solicit off-platform payments; (e) submit false reviews or manipulate the Trust Score system; (f) use automated tools to scrape, crawl, or extract data from the Platform; or (g) interfere with the Platform's security or functionality.
All content on the Platform, including text, graphics, logos, and software, is the property of HomePro.bot or its licensors and is protected by applicable intellectual property laws. You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works from Platform content without our express written permission. By submitting content to the Platform (including reviews, project descriptions, and photos), you grant HomePro.bot a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide license to use, display, and distribute such content in connection with operating the Platform.
HomePro.bot is a marketplace platform and is not a party to any service contract between homeowners and Pros. We do not guarantee the quality, safety, or legality of services performed by Pros. While we conduct background checks and license verification, we cannot guarantee the accuracy of all information provided by Pros.
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, HOMEPRO.BOT SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE PLATFORM OR ANY SERVICES ARRANGED THROUGH THE PLATFORM. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY TO YOU FOR ANY CLAIM SHALL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF (A) THE AMOUNT OF FEES PAID BY YOU TO HOMEPRO.BOT IN THE 12 MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM, OR (B) $500.
You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless HomePro.bot and its officers, directors, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising from your use of the Platform, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any rights of a third party.
We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. We will provide notice of material changes by posting the updated Terms on the Platform and updating the "Last updated" date. Your continued use of the Platform after such notice constitutes acceptance of the modified Terms.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any legal action or proceeding relating to these Terms shall be brought exclusively in the federal or state courts located in Delaware, and you consent to the personal jurisdiction of such courts.
